What a color… DreamCarXchange is excited to share this 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Coupe 6-speed at NO RESERVE. This was sourced by Emile Bouret for this Car Flip Challenge, where all the profits from the sale of this 996 will go to 22 Too Many (https://www.22toomany.com). This 911 is finished in Cobalt Blue and has Graphite Grey full leather interior. It is well equipped with options such as 18″ Turbo look wheels, stainless tailpipes, Aluminum gear lever and hand brake and Porsche Stability Management (PSM). The IMS bearing was upgraded with a LN Engineering unit along with the rear main seal and some other service items in September 2020. The clean CARFAX shows it was originally sold by Danbury Porsche in Connecticut. It currently shows 92k miles and is being sold with a clean New Jersey title.
This highly optioned example has a Graphite Grey interior featuring full leather, aluminum gear lever and hand brake, heated seats, 3-spoke steering wheel, aluminum look gauges, 8-way power left and right seats, memory driver’s seat, Alcantara headliner, and stainless door entry with logo. Everything is said to function as intended. It is mostly a stock car with the exception of the audio system.
Like all 996.1’s, this example is equipped with the 3.4 liter flat six engine, rated by Porsche at 296 hp @ 6800 rpm and 258 lb-ft of torque @ 4600 rpm, with a redline of 7300 rpms. Being this is a Carrera 4, it drives all four wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. The IMS bearing was replaced with a LN Engineering bearing as a preventative measure in September 2020.
The optional 18″ Turbo-Look wheels are wrapped with Sumitomo HTR Z3’s sized 225/40ZR18 fronts and 265//35ZR18 rears with mfr date codes of 2016 and 2017 respectively.
The CARFAX shows maintenance earlier in its life, but most recently in Sept 2020 in addition to the IMS bearing, the following was also completed:
- New rear main seal
- Oil & Filter change
- Rear brake pads installed
- Replace right front drop link
- Four wheel alignment
- Replace engine mounts
This 996 is said to pull, shift and handle as it should. It has a few minor cosmetic paint chips and the center console has scratches, however overall it is in excellent condition and shows as if it had half the mileage.
You can download the clean CARFAX from the Key Specifications table above and make sure you check out the 60+ additional pictures found in the “Pictures” tab above. Don’t forget that the profit from this 996 is being donated to charity and that the highest bidder wins (No Reserve), so bid often on this excellent example of a 996 coupe to make it yours!
Why should you bid on, & hope to win/purchase this particular car? Well, I’m glad you asked, because below are my Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Buy This Porsche... 1. It’s a Porsche 2. It’s a 911 Carrera 3. It’s AWD, so as the weather turns (soon), you’ll be able to continue enjoying this thing, unlike many other cars from this Car Flip Challenge. Just needs a proper winter tire to be fully capable of rippin’ around in the snow. And while you’re at it, do get rid of those Sumitomo tires & get some Michelin P4Ss for when the weather is nice. Best & only mod you to make on this thing. 4. It’s had the 996’s known issues sorted & sorted well (read description)! 5. You can correct everyone that calls it a “Porsch” without looking like a dick. Ok, without looking like a total dick. 6. It looks incredible. 7. You can wear all that cool Porsche branded gear without looking like “that guy.” 8. You’ll get preferred parking at any sportscar race you attend, & you’ll be able to park it among 911 GT2 RSs & GT3s. 9. If you buy it, not only will you be driving a Porsche, but you’ll also be helping a great cause; 22 Too Many, an organization that brings support & awareness to veteran suicides resulting from PTSD and the lack of readjustment support after their service. 10. And finally, you’ll be able to demonstrate your prowess as a true driver to any passengers as you row through the gearbox’s six gears! YES, IT’S A MANUAL!!!
